Dr Raj is dedicated to fostering confident, aesthetically pleasing smiles. He is thoroughly invested in biological and biomimetic dentistry. His training includes the use of cutting-edge digital technology, 3D design/milling, and AI to deliver patient-centred care, taking pride in positively influencing his patients' everyday lives. Witnessing their smiles as they leave the clinic is what inspires and invigorates him daily.
Dr Raj is currently participating in the ACE Institute's clinical implantology training, guided by top implantologists, specialists, and clinicians from New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. He is also advancing his skills in CAD/CAM, microscope enhanced and 3D digital dentistry while enrolling in IV sedation training.
Originally from India, Dr Walia obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree in 2012. Seeking new opportunities and experiences, he moved to New Zealand in 2014 and has made Auckland his home since 2015, along with his wife and daughter, who was born here in Auckland.
He has acquired invaluable experience in various clinical roles at respected dental practices in Hamilton and Auckland Central before merging all that expertise into his current position as a dentist at Lasersmile Dental Care, where he has been mentored by Dr Hisham since 2025.
Dr Raj is very approachable and possesses a soothing demeanour that helps his patients feel comfortable. Beyond dentistry, he cherishes quality time with his family. He is also a passionate cook, music enthusiast, and avid hiker.
